It may be hard to feel optimistic right now if you are dealing with the death of someone close. The grief support group at Mountain View can help. We use a format and curriculum that has been approved by churches across the country. It’s called GriefShare, and it’s available to you whether or not you’re part of the Mountain View church family - whether your loved one died recently or sometime ago. You can join GriefShare anytime during the 14-week series and catch up on missed sessions when the next cycle begins.

Don’t grieve alone. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. In a highly confidential and facilitator-led setting, you’ll have a chance each session to check in with others. Those who wish can openly share their concerns, setbacks and progress.

Visit www.griefshare.org for other grief support resources, daily email encouragement and locations and times of other GriefShare groups. You can also contact Mountain View's office for more information.

  • Prayer Ministry

Elders, deacons, Stephen ministers and prayer team members will be available to pray with anyone during the final music set and after service on Sunday mornings. You may wish to talk about a decision that you made or request prayer for a physical need. We feel that it is good to pray for each other.

The Sunday morning prayer ministry includes a number of people committed to pray for teachers and students in Sunday School and Kids Under Construction, for the worship team, and for all who attend both services. This group is also committed to pray for classes and activities that happen during the week. You may join this group of prayer partners by letting Jeannine King know of your desire to serve.

  • Stephen Ministry

We all need a concerned, caring friend at difficult times in our lives. A Stephen Minister can listen and care for you or for someone you know who is going through a tough time. Stephen Ministers are the "after" people.

You can learn more about Stephen Ministry, here, and you can also follow this link, to learn more about becoming trained as a Stephen Minister here at Mountain View. You are also welcome to contact the church office for more information.
